The important thing to remember when gathering evidence is that the more evidence the better - that is, the more evidence you gather to demonstrate your skills, the more confident an assessor can be that you have learned the skills not just at one point in time, but are continuing to apply and develop those skills (as opposed to just learning for the test!). Furthermore, one piece of evidence that you collect will not usualy demonstrate all the required criteria for a unit of competency, whereas multiple overlapping pieces of evidence will usually do the trick!

Patterns or cores are inspected for appropriate surface finish and set up on jointline or flat board to specification. Completed |
Evidence:
Appropriate parting agent is selected and applied to polymer specifications. Completed |
Evidence:
Manufacture moulds, patterns, tooling aids etc.
Appropriate polymer materials are selected to specification. Completed |
Evidence:
Polymer and hardener are mixed to correct ratios and specifications using standard safety and operating procedures. Completed |
Evidence:
Polymer is applied to specification and using predetermined methods, ensuring that air is not entrapped in application, excessive heat is not generated and delamination does not occur in final use. Completed |
Evidence:
Pattern/core box is stripped, inspected, cleaned and repaired as required. Completed |
Evidence:
Faces of polymer pattern are machined and finished to specifications. Completed |
Evidence:
Appropriate method of location is applied to patterns and core boxes. Completed |
Evidence:
Polymer tooling is checked for conformance to specifications as required. Completed |
